Now in its third year of production, Kia's Sorento crossover is getting ready for its first mid-life facelift, possibly for the 2013 model year.

Judging by these spy pictures of a prototype model being trialed in Europe, we will see changes to the front fascia with newly designed headlamps featuring the very BMW-like "eyebrow" accents on top, as seen on recent Kia models such as the Cee'd hatchback, together with a tweaked grille and a new bumper design.

To keep up with rising demand for Kia models in Europe, the South Korean has decided to introduce a third shift at its Zilina plant in Slovakia and hire another 1,000 new employees.
