SPY SHOTS: 2014 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Sedan Begins Testing

What we have here are the first scoop pictures of the next generation Mercedes-Benz C-Class sedan caught while undergoing preliminary tests in Europe. The C-Class is a very important model for the German automaker as it's one of Mercedes' top sellers worldwide.

Parent company Daimler has already revealed that the new iteration will arrive in the market in 2014 and that for the first time ever, it will be built on North American soil at its Tuscaloosa plant in Alabama. Currently, the C-Class is manufactured at Mercedes plants in Germany, China and South Africa.

These first photos of the 2014 model suggest that the new C-Class will get sportier proportions with a shorter tail and front overhangs, and a swoopier roofline. Like the new A-Class, Mercedes-Benz's BMW 3-Series rival will adopt many styling cues from the F800 study showcased at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show.

Spy Shots: 2013 Mercedes-Benz CLS Shooting Break Shows up in a New Shade

The second generation of the CLS sports sedan will soon have an equally, if not more interesting sibling called the Shooting Brake.

This is not the first time we've snagged the sleek-looking estate model as our spies have captured both photos and a video of prototypes while testing in Europe, the only difference being now the burgundy shade of its lightly camouflaged body.

The CLS Shooting Brake will be less roomy than its E-Class Estate sibling, but at the same time offer a larger boot and increased practicality over the CLS sedan while retaining the latter's elegant lines.

2012 Mercedes-Benz A-Class Five-Door Hatchback Filmed Totally Undisguised!

A bicyclist –no, we didn't make a mistake- captured footage of the all-new 2012 Mercedes-Benz A-Class hatchback while riding with his team from El Golfo to Playa Blanca on the Spanish island of Lanzarote in the Canary Islands.

It seems that the German premium carmaker was at the island to shoot video and pictures of the luxury compact model for its press material.

The A-Class seen here is the five-door hatchback model, which will be the first body style to be launched onto the market. Mercedes has already confirmed that the 5-door version will make its world premiere at the 2012 Geneva Auto Show in early March. A sportier looking three-door model will follow, possibly withing the next year.

2012 Mercedes-Benz A-Class Hatchback Scooped on Film

Our crafty spy shooters turned to video mode to capture the upcoming 2012 Mercedes-Benz A-Class model during winter testing in Europe.

The prototypes retain the usual camouflage though the video footage provides a better view of the new A-Class model's proportions and stance.

For the third generation A-Class, Mercedes-Benz has changed the formula switching to a regular platform and a traditional five-door body style that will be followed later on by a three-door model, which will resemble the A-Class Concept shown in New York and Shanghai last year.

Now in their second generation, the current Mercedes-Benz Viano passenger model and its light-commercial van sibling, the Vito, have been in the market for quite a long time –nine years to be precise.

SPIED: Mercedes-Benz CLC Small Sports Sedan Trots Out for Winter Testing

One 'four-door coupe' is no longer enough for Mercedes-Benz as the Stuttgart-based carmaker has plans to introduce a smaller sports saloon with a similar styling language to the CLS, with which it will expand into the lower-end price segment.

Our spies caught up with yet another prototype of the upcoming CLC model during winter testing in Northern Europe.

SPIED: 2012 Mercedes A-Class Hatchback Stretches Out in the Snow

The upcoming third generation A-Class is one of the most interesting new vehicles currently being prepared by Mercedes-Benz and all for good reason as the only common factor it has with the current model is its name.

You see, the Stuttgart-based company decided to compete more directly with the BMW 1-Series and even the higher-end versions of the VW Golf and as a result, opted for a sportier looking hatchback body built on a conventional platform instead of the tall, minivan-like shape and sandwich floor of the first two generations of the A-Class.

These latest spy shots of a five-door prototype of the A-Class testing in Europe suggest that the development of the car is nearing its end as engineers have removed much of its camouflage. If you want to see what the final model will look like, you can check out the patent images we posted earlier this year.

We Spy the New Mercedes-Benz CLS Shooting Brake on Film

At the Auto China motorshow in 2010, Mercedes-Benz previewed the design language of the current, second-generation CLS sports saloon with the Shooting Brake concept car, which generally received positive reviews.

It didn’t take long for the premium carmaker to announce its intention to expand the range of the CLS series with a second body style based on that study, while the company even confirmed that the Shooting Brake model would arrive in dealerships during 2012.

Over the months that followed, we saw several scoops of the CLS Shooting Brake, and now our spy shooters travelled all the way to northern Sweden to film the sleek five-door model during winter testing.

Spied: 2012 Mercedes-Benz G63 V8 and G65 V12 AMG Continue Winter Testing

We've been telling you for some time about Mercedes-Benz's plans to update its G-Class series and present a new pair of AMG models, and now our scoop photographers have snared two barely camouflaged prototypes on test in mainland Europe.

The two new AMG-prepped G-Wagen models are the G63 (or G55) and G65. It is to our understanding that the G63 AMG (keep in mind, Mercedes may hold on to the G55 nameplate for this model) will receive the German firm's new 5.4-liter twin-turbocharged V8 producing around 525HP and 700Nm (516.3 lb-ft).

The more exclusive G65 AMG, which will be produced in a limited run, is speculated to get the S65 AMG’s 6.0-litre bi-turbocharged V12 engine with an output of 612HP and a tarmac shredding 1,000Nm or 737 lb-ft of peak torque.

2013 Mercedes-Benz SL Roadster Brochure Scans Leak onto the Web

It’s no secret that Mercedes-Benz has almost completed work on the next iteration of its SL roadster, as the German company itself recently published several technical details along with official shots of the car, albeit still wrapped up in camouflage.

However, if these leaked scanned images of the 2013 Mercedes-Benz SL brochure turn out to be true – and from what we can tell, they seem genuine, you can get your first gander at Stuttgart new roadster model in the gallery after the jump.

SCOOP: Mercedes-Benz GLK SUV Prepares for its First Facelift

Approximately three years have passed since Mercedes-Benz launched the GLK crossover onto the market (and let's not forget, after making its chic promotional premiere at the "Sex and the City" movie…), so it's time for a customary mid-life facelift, which should arrive in showrooms next year.

Our spies snapped the freshened-up 2013 GLK with minimal camouflage during some cold weather testing in Northern Sweden.

SPIED: Mercedes-Benz's Three-Row 2013 GL-Class SUV Shows More Skin

Mercedes-Benz seems set to rejuvenate its entire lineup within the next couple of years. Now, one of our wily spies has caught yet another snap of a new Mercedes-Benz model, the second generation of the GL-Class that was snagged testing with reduced camouflage in Europe.

The new Mercedes-Benz ML-Class that forms the base for the longer 2013 GL-Class has already set the tone so don't expect any surprises on the design front.

That said, the three-row crossover model will look a lot like the vehicle it replaces combining a rising beltline and upright profile with the squared nose and other styling details of the newer ML.

SPY SHOTS: New Mercedes-Benz B25 AMG Caught Sneaking Out in the Open

Here's our first glimpse at Mercedes-Benz's hottest new B-Class model yet, which is being prepared by none other than the German firm's AMG division and is expected to enter production by 2013.

We're still not sure about the name, but it is believed that the most mightiest of all B-Class variants will be dubbed the B25 AMG.

While based on a different platform than the upcoming A25 AMG, spy shots of which we showed you back in August, the two models will share the same powertrain setup that includes a new 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbo engine delivering somewhere around 300 ponies and a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.

SCOOP: Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Estate gets in the Black Series Mood

You'd think that 457-ponies under the hood of any family car let alone a station wagon would be enough to get any enthusiast excited, but Mercedes-Benz believes otherwise and has ordered its AMG division to prepare a Black Series edition of the C63 AMG Estate.

Behind that mismatched front bumper are the same hardware upgrades found on the C63 AMG Coupe Black Series, and which include a modified 6.2-liter V8 engine pushing out 517HP and 620 Nm (457 lb-ft) of peak torque, an increase of 60HP and 20Nm over the regular model.

Structural Photos and New Details of 2013 Mercedes-Benz SL hit the Web

We have been following the development of the new 2013 Mercedes-Benz SL for quite some time now having recently spied a prototype with minimal camouflage that enabled us to see many aspects of the hardtop roadster's design.

Naturally, as we're nearing closer to its debut that will take place at next year's Detroit Auto Show in January, more information is coming out. Earlier this week, German magazine Auto Motor und Sport published a set of what appear to be official pictures of the next SL's body-in-white, along with some very interesting details.

The images suggest that the all-new luxury roadster will retain the familiar SL silhouette while adopting styling cues from other Mercedes models such as the boxy nose that is becoming the brand’s new “face” and the SLK’s “Magic Sky Control” retractable rigid roof.

SPY SHOTS: New Mercedes-Benz CLS Shooting Brake Caught Thinly Disguised

When Mercedes-Benz presented the first generation of the CLS in 2004, nobody expected that it would virtually reestablished the so-called four-door coupe segment and go on to sell some 170,000 examples throughout the world.

Now, the Stuttgart-based automaker is getting ready to bring the shooting brake category into the limelight with a new variant of the second generation of the CLS.

The company not only acknowledged the production of the Shooting Brake model a few months after the presentation of a concept study at the Auto China motorshow in 2010, but even announced that sales will start in 2012.

SPIED: New Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series Edition Shows Off its Widened Body for the Camera

For all those Mercedes-Benz customers that find the regular AMG variants too tame for their tastes, the Stuttgart automaker's sports car division has come up with a special series of cars that carry the Black Series nameplate.

The Black Series AMG models can be identified by their more extreme bodywork and beefed up performance along with a price tag to match their abilities.

Not even Mercedes-Benz's top offering, the SLS AMG gullwing-door supercar, can escape the Black Series treatment. A lightly disguised prototype version of the SLS AMG Black Series edition was captured by our scoop photographers while testing on the Nürburgring track.

SCOOP: Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Black Series Edition, Now in Sedan Form

For most people, the standard Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG sedan with its 6.2-liter V8 that generates 457HP and 600Nm (443 lb-ft) is more than a handful, but for those that drooled over the C63 AMG Coupe Black Series edition and wished it would be offered with four doors, we have some very good news for you.

Our spies stumbled upon a prototype version for the C63 AMG Black Series edition in sedan form while testing on the demanding Nürburgring racetrack. This test mule featured widened wheel arches housing larger wheels plus the same modified front and rear bumpers seen on the Black Series coupe.
