Aston Martin starts testing the V12 Vantage GT3

Testing began this week at Brands Hatch in Kent (U.K.) with over 1,000 km covered already, mostly by factory driver Darren Turner. 2012 will remain a development year for the V12 Vantage GT3 as FIA homologation is still a year away.Aston Martin V12 Vantage GT3
The new GT3 racer features a 6.0 liter V12 tuned to deliver 600 bhp (442 kW / 608 PS) and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) of torque coupled to the Xtrac six-speed sequential gearbox. The V12 Vantage GT3 will be a replacement for the current Aston Martin DBRS9 racer and will be qualified for several race series including FIA GT3, ADAC Masters, Nürburgring VLN, Blancpain Endurance Series, British GT, Belcar as well as Open GT.
The Aston Martin V12 Vantage GT3 is available for outside racing teams as well with prices starting at £298,000 (€341,000).Aston Martin Racing V12 Vantage GT3 24.08.2011
